OVERHIRE STAGEHANDS
Under a tiered system of experience, stagehands perform technical support activities for The Music Hall’s full-time staff and assist in the safe operation and maintenance of sound, lighting, rigging, and related equipment and systems used in support of live performances, meetings, and related events.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
All stagehands must be able to:

Repeatedly lift, push, and pull 50-100lbs

Stand, walk, bend (at neck and waist), stoop, twist, squat, kneel, crawl, climb, and use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate objects, tools, or controls.

Follow safe working practices, including the use of appropriate attire, footwear, and an honest understanding of physical abilities and limitations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Loading and unloading trucks.

Setting up and striking audio cables, microphones, speakers, lighting instruments, and AV equipment.

Setting up and striking staging, flooring, truss, and scenery.

Assisting staff in other areas of production that may be necessary for a particular event.
COMPENSATION:
Starting Rate: $17-$20/hour, depending on experience with regularly scheduled performance-based increases. W2 status with time and a half on holidays and after 40 hours/week.
