A Look Back at 2018
This past year—with the support of our 4,200 members, 350 volunteers, 300 regional business supporters, and 60 local community partners—The Music Hall hosted 204 live events and 406 film screenings. Highlights include visits from musical artists Ray LaMontagne, Lyle Lovett & Shawn Colvin, Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite, Chris Botti, Wynton Marsalis, Melissa Etheridge, and Pink Martini; authors Dan Brown and Atul Gawande; and comedians Weird Al, Brian Regan, and Lewis Black.
Nearly 500 of the 7,000 students who attended the School Days Series were from Seacoast Title I schools and received complimentary tickets, transportation, and even lunch.
We doubled the size of the Innovation + Leadership series, hosting 21 events in 2017-18.
We partnered with Gather for our fourth annual Fill the Hall food drive, collecting $5,000 in cash donations as well as twelve tons of non-perishable items for the Summer Meals 4 Kids Program.
Through the Give the Gift of Magic program we were able to make tickets to our holiday musical available to families in need as identified by our partner organizations, Families First, and Cross Roads House. We were also able to provide 100 local veterans with tickets to the show in partnership with Veterans Count.
These programs mean so much to the community and we are committed to growing them in 2018-19. It’s thanks to you and your support that we are able to help our community. To join our family or renew your membership, click here!
