One of the benefits of being a member is the opportunity to purchase tickets to shows two weeks before they go on sale to the public. We are constantly adding new exciting shows to our season. Every month, typically on the first Saturday, we put the new shows on sale to members. For some of our big name shows, that we expect will sell out quickly (think Tony Bennett and Tom Brokaw), being a member is sometimes the only chance of getting tickets.

Next Saturday, June 6, is when we will be putting our 2015- 2016 season on sale to members! We have over 20 new shows going on sale, and we’re expecting such a huge turnout of members, so this month the Box Office will open at 9am for walk up sales, for those who want to buy over the phone and the internet tickets will be going on sale at noon.

Some exciting shows going on sale include:
–Patti Smith, the legendary artist, will be at the Historic Theater with her new book M Train on November 7.

–Mavis Staples and Joan Osborne will be here with highly anticipated national tour, Solid Soul on November 12.

–Tao: Seventeen Samurai featuring athletic bodies and contemporary costumes, combined with explosive Taiko drumming, and innovative choreography comes to town on February 5.

–Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host: Ira Glass, Monica Bill Barnes, and Anna Bass, will be live on stage on April 30. This show includes radio interviews restaged as dance pieces, plus stories from the lives of each of the three performers in three acts.

I’ll be at the Box Office on Saturday, come on down and say hello. First Saturday’s are a great way for Music Hall staff members to get to meet our members and say thank you for your support.
