A Teenager’s Take on Mary Poppins
After her experiences performing with AIR and seeing Mary Poppins come alive on stage, Cheyenne has become a huge fan of musical theater. We recently chatted with her about why she loved the Ogunquit performance, and why she thinks the upcoming performances December 10-14 at The Music Hall will be memorable for kids of all ages.
RB: What did you like best about Mary Poppins?
CW: The show has the most amazing singing, dancing, and choreography—it looked flawless. I’ve never seen anything like it.
RB: What did you think of the story?
CW: I got completely involved with the story and so emotionally attached to the characters! I cried and I laughed.
RB: Who was your favorite character?
CW: Mary!
RB: We’re so excited that Gail Bennett, who played Mary, will be back for the Music Hall performances! How did you feel at the end of the show?
CW: Completely satisfied.
RB: Would you recommend the show to little kids as well as to teenagers?
CW: For sure. My little sister Willow, who is 5, is going to see the show at the Music Hall and I think she will love it.
