March in New England brings with it the promise of sunnier days, and it is also when I travel to Austin’s South By Southwest (SXSW) to seek out new acts to bring to the Seacoast. This festival and conference features thousands of artists from across the globe in venues around the city. SXSW artists are both renowned (Iggy Pop and Loretta Lynn) and lesser known. Stages are curated by a variety of industry names (KCRW, NPR, Brooklyn Vegan) as well as agencies who take special care in helping to develop young artists.Read More
