Celebrate International Women’s Day With Pat Benatar
With as much as I love Pat, I’ve never had the chance to see her in concert. It seems only fitting that on International Women’s Day, I’d get the chance to see her. I’m pretty sure that my mother surrounded me with examples of strong women who pushed barriers to show me that I really could be anything I wanted to be. Take Pat Benatar, she broke into rock music and racked up number one singles, Grammy Awards, and was the second artist to be played on MTV. She battled with her record company, she had to sacrifice her personal life, and was honest about her struggles, “For every day since I was old enough to think, I’ve considered myself a feminist … It’s empowering to watch and to know that, perhaps in some way, I made the hard path [women] have to walk just a little bit easier.”
So what better way to celebrate International Women’s Day, than with Pat Benatar. If you haven’t already gotten your tickets, we still have a few seats left. Come join us as Pat hits us with her best shot. There might even be some dancing…
