Come Together This Winter
January’s First Saturday on sales offer a nice selection of interesting programming, with everything from a mother-daughter musical duo to local legends to a beloved chef (plus some surprise announcements)!
We’ve added another round of hilarity with Whose Live Anyway? with Dave Foley! It’ll be a completely different show, but then again, isn’t that the point of improv?
Ben Baldwin and The Big Note arrive in the Loft early March, bringing a big sound and smooth tunes. We’ve been looking forward to their return for a while! We will also have quite a few singer-songwriters in the Loft, starting with the four appearing as part of Songwriters in the Round. Guy Capecelatro III is the guest curator, bringing together Jake Mehrmann of Tan Vampires, Jocelyn Mackenzie, and Craig Werth to share songs and stories. Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche follow in April to showcase their smart and thoughtful harmonies. There is so much to discover with the Live at the Loft series!
Beloved cookbook author and TV personality Lidia Mattacchio Bastianich will appear in the historic theater as part of our Writers on a New England Stage series. She will share her life story AND recipes with us—don’t miss this yummy event! The NYT bestselling author Katy Butler teaches us the art of caring for aging parents and managing death with dignity on March 6th. We hope you will join us for a meaningful conversation. And the creator of the Cathy comic strip, Cathy Guisewite, will share her hilarious and thoughtful essays for an Innovation + Leadership series treat.
Don’t forget to watch your Music Hall enews! We’ve announced a bunch of shows in the Weekender and First Saturday enews, including Colin Jost, Rhett Miller, Lowland Hum, and Snarky Puppy!
