Fall Restaurant Week Tips and Tricks
All of the participating restaurants have their menus posted online. Take some time and look them over. Once you’ve decided on a restaurant, make reservations. This is a popular attraction in Portsmouth and many places will book up quickly. With over 40 restaurants to choose from, I thought I’d give you some helpful tips for navigating it.
If you’re worried about finding parking downtown, check out the Atlantic Grill. They have both lunch and dinner menus that you can enjoy on their heated seasonal porch and patio.
If you’re feeling adventurous, check out the menu Brazo created. The latin-inspired courses will transport you right to South America. Added bonus: they have valet parking!
If you’re fitting in dinner before seeing one of the great Loft shows we have coming up this weekend, the District Restaurant is close by, and they happen to be the Singer Songwriter series sponsor!
If you’re looking for fresh seafood, you can’t pass up Jumpin Jay’s. We hear that their pumpkin cheesecake is ridiculously good.
Looking to try out some local beers with your meal? Don’t miss the Portsmouth Brewery. A Portsmouth institution that serves food until 12:30am, perfect for a post-show bite to eat.
Looking for some ambiance with your meal? Rudi’s features Portsmouth’s only piano lounge. They also have their own parking lot.
Last, but certainly not least, if you’re a fan of oysters, add The Franklin Oyster House to your list to take advantage of their oyster happy hour, running seven days a week from 4-6pm. Have I mentioned that for every happy hour oyster they sell, they donate 25 cents to The Music Hall?
I hope you all enjoy the next 10 days of fabulous food!
