Freewave Friday: November 3

I’m still working my way though a number of new releases. Best discovery this week is the music of Curtis Harding. He grew up singing gospel alongside his mother and performed as backing vocalist for Cee Lo Green. His sophmore album “Face Your Fear “ is vintage soul. You should also pay attention to the latest release from Nicole Atkins. Her influences include 50s crooner music, 60s psychedelia and soul music. Atkins has earned comparisons to Roy Orbison.
