Freewave Friday: October 6

This week I’m loving Deer Tick’s latest albums Vol. I and Vol II. It’s been four years since their last recording. Volume I is mainly acoustic. Vol. II is all electric. Mike Gordon’s new album is also fairly contagious. This week I discovered music by the DJ outfit The Allergies’. Their music has got an old school soul vibe to it. Andrew Bird is an artist I could listen to for hours and never grow weary of. My co-pilot, Kathleen Soldati, has been in radio for some time. She invited me to join her on the airwaves two and a half years ago. We get two hours of air time and I find that narrowing my options down to just two hours of music is always a challenge. We do our best to come up with a playlist that is cohesive and highlights some of these amazing artists.  I hope you enjoy this week’s playlist. Feel free to follow along with us on the airwaves.
