Get Ready to Conga With Pink Martini
When I first started here at TMH, I was excited to learn that I’d get to see Pink Martini live for the first time ever. I discovered this band during my time as a Starbucks barista in college and every Christmas had their holiday CD on repeat. Their music, a blend of covers of songs from the 40s and 50s and original works was fun to hear through my speakers, but that didn’t prepare me for what I was about to experience.
From the moment they step on stage, well, to be honest, before they step foot on stage, their energy is infectious. You can’t help but start to dance in your seat from the first notes of the first song. You most likely won’t know the words but you won’t be able to help it, you’’ want to sing along. You’ll be hooked.
I’ll never forget being a new staffer and watching them start a conga line that went all the way around the orchestra section for the entire song. There’s just something about them, you have to dance along.
It’s fun, it’s the perfect show for a summer night, and if it’s anything like the last couple of times there were here, it’s what everyone will be talking about for the next few weeks. So GET YOUR TICKETS and get ready to dance!
