Insider Telluride Tips
Plan on seeing all the movies – if you suffer from fear of missing out like I do, or even if you don’t – you’re going to want make it to as many of these movies as possible. Every year each of these movies gets at least one Oscar nomination and at TbtS you get the chance to see them first and sometimes these films aren’t shown anywhere else
Bring layers and wear comfortable shoes. Unless you have a Patron Pass, you should plan on waiting in line for all of the films you attend. As we all know, the weather can be unpredictable, it’s best to plan for everything. We also recommend bringing an umbrella just in case a passing shower blows through.
You can not survive on popcorn alone. While the staff here at The Music Hall believes that popcorn makes a great breakfast or lunch, you’re going to want to plan meal breaks. We highly recommend checking out the Cinemange menus out at the brand new Franklin Oyster House, or Portsmouth and Music Hall favorites, Jumpin’ Jay’s Fish Cafe and Radici. These three restaurants will have special prix-fixe menus and will be opening at 4pm on Saturday for our Telluride by the Sea attendees.
Make new friends. Part of the festival experience meeting new people and seeing old friends. Standing in line or sitting in your seat are great places to strike up a conversation about the movies you’ve just seen or are about to see.
Meet The Music Hall staff. This weekend, staff will be in Telluride shirts that say “staff” on the back if you have any questions feel free to ask any of us.
Have fun! This weekend is packed full of amazing films, great people, and fantastic food, enjoy it.
