Member Spotlight: Sheila Clark-Edmands and Peter Edmands
Gail VanHoy Carolan, Director of Institutional Advancement, cinephile, and bookworm caught up with members Sheila Clark-Edmands and Peter Edmands to chat about how The Music Hall has opened up a new community to them.
What first drew you to The Music Hall?
We love film and began attending the Telluride by the Sea Film Festival with a group of fellow film buffs from Maine. We feel extremely fortunate to have such a high-quality experience so close to our home. We continue to attend screenings of films and discussions held at the Loft. We never tire of these opportunities.
Some members join as Friends or Advocates and then work their way up to higher levels of membership. Can you share why you jumped right in at Patron?
Not only were we attracted to the outstanding films offered, but we also loved the opportunity to attend music, comedy, theater, and author events. Of particular interest to us, and an incentive to a higher level of membership, was the monthly book club discussion and social events. It became clear we could not resist the value of a membership!
What is one thing you would share with someone who is considering membership?
Although we are from Kennebunk, Maine, The Music Hall has made Portsmouth our neighborhood. As a member, you feel that you are part of an important family of supporters who are bringing wonderful opportunities to many people.
