The Peter Squires Band Rocks Community Open House on June 27

On Saturday, June 27, The Music Hall is hosting its annual complimentary Open House for the Seacoast community. All events are free and will take place at The Music Hall’s two venues in downtown Portsmouth: The “American Treasure” Historic Theater on Chestnut Street and the chic modern Loft on Congress Street. People of all ages are invited to stop by the historic theater for a multimedia tour and/or a behind-the-scenes technology tour, and enjoy a 3 pm showing of the Disney family classic UP. 2015- 2016 Season Curator’s Highlights

Deputy Director of Programming & Performing Arts Curator Thérèse LaGamma joined The Music Hall in late 2004, after four years as the Performing Arts Manager at the Museum of Fine arts in Boston. Since then, she has helped to bring countless artists of all genres to the Historic Theater on Chestnut Street, from John Prine to Natalie Merchant and from Andrew Bird to Feist—and has also been instrumental in building the brand of the intimate Music Hall Loft. Since opening four years ago, the Loft has presented hot discovery acts, popular local bands, and genre-bending world music.
