Come experience the allure of the Argentine Tango at The Music Hall Lounge in Portsmouth, NH, as LILA Productions presents “Milonga!” A performance which captures the essence of Tango through captivating excerpts from choreography by Alejandro Figliolo, LILA Dance Festival’s 2024 Guest Artist.

Hailing from Buenos Aires, Alejandro is celebrated as a distinguished Tango Dancer, Teacher, and Choreographer, bringing his expertise to the stage in an intimate daytime performance. The show commences with a Tango demonstration, igniting the stage for an immersive experience.

Audience members are invited to step onto the stage and participate in a brief class to learn the fundamental Tango steps, enhancing their connection to the art form. But the excitement doesn’t end there. “Milonga!” offers a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in a milonga, a traditional Tango social dance. Join performers on stage, feeling the pulse of the music and experiencing the essence of Argentine Tango firsthand.

Throughout the performance, enjoy excerpts from the full Tango piece choreographed by Alejandro and to be performed in its entirety at the LILA Dance Festival at the Rochester Commons on August 24, 2024.
