The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra String Quartet will warm up the night with quartet music by Tchaikovsky, Astor Piazolla, Jose Elizondo and more. The quartet enjoys mixing their favorite classical pieces with sensual dances and edgy tangos that keep the audience engaged. “Music for string quartet is incredibly versatile and we enjoy surprising our listeners with less familiar music,” says Johnny Mok, cellist of the PSO String Quartet. “We love it when our audience discovers something new they fall in love with.” Join Susanne Powers and Aniko Geladze (violin), Autumn Riley (viola), and Johnny Mok (cello) as they bring you music for string quartet that is perfect for enjoying a warm spring evening with friends outside The Music Hall.
The PSO String quartet is actively performing in NH and the Boston area, where they enjoy performing for seasoned music lovers as well as awakening the love for classical music in young audiences.
