The non-profit Seacoast Civic Dance Company (SCDC) in partnership with the New Hampshire Academy of Performing Arts (NHAPA) are proud to present their 64th Annual Dance Showcase at The Music Hall. The performance will feature award-winning, originally choreographed pieces in a variety of dance genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern and Contemporary.

The Seacoast Civic Dance Company and Performance Groups are comprised of auditioned dancers from the NH Academy of Performing Arts (NHAPA) ranging in age from 12-18 years old. The program is focused on providing a pre-professional dance education program supported by an experienced faculty, coupled with multiple, professional performance opportunities.

This nationally recognized, award-winning troupe is known for their cutting-edge choreography, and dynamic performances. They have toured and performed locally at Portsmouth’s Market Square Day, Children’s Day, Prescott Park Arts Festival, and Newburyport’s Yankee Homecoming. Nationally, they have appeared at FEDEX Orange Bowl, the Gator Bowl, at Walt Disney World, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, and on Disney Cruise Lines. In Orlando at the National Contest of Champions they consistently placed in the Top 5 out of a group of elite dance troupes from across the nation. In 2017, senior company members were invited to perform at the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. Most recently, the SCDC was invited to perform at the 2019 Sugar Bowl Half-time Show in New Orleans. The Troupe is thrilled to be having a theatre performance since COVID shut the doors for many artists.
