To Be Frank explores authenticity and surfing in Frank, a 73-year-old humble, local legend whose life orbits around a two-block stretch of beach. His unforgettable mustache and magnetic spirit are what most first notice, but Frank’s deeper layers expose a depth that might answer some questions that us surfers continually ask ourselves.”

CHASING THE UNICORN (34 minutes)
Chasing the Unicorn traces the history of surfing in post-war Mozambique, while searching for a mythical wave known as the African Kirra. Along the way we meet Sung Min Cho and Julia Fernando, the country’s leading surfers, and get acquainted with Mozambique’s burgeoning surf culture that has risen up in the wake of 30 years of armed conflict. Ministry of Surf shares the “story of one perfect day” when world champion surfers and healing ocean waves “brought the stoke” to children with autism and their heroic families. In heartfelt interviews with caregivers, children, and professional surfers at a Surfers Healing day camp in Virginia Beach, the magic of this one perfect day is captured by Reagan Studios with all the feels.

CHASING THE BONO (11 minutes)
In the river-side village of Teluk Meranti, Indonesia, an immense wave roars through every full moon, flooding homes and waking locals. Down the Kampar River, Bono rushes from converging waterways to form one of the world’s longest and widest tidal bores. The Bono is a record-breaking phenomenon that can run as long as an hour and four minutes and up to thirteen and a half miles. The wave breaks to flood the village and can fill entire houses if the tidal pulse is strong enough.

UNCLE BULLY’S SURF SKOOL (39 minutes)
